Artist Reception at Stanford April 15, 2011

Kathleen Sharp and I looking at my quilt on display until May 19 at
Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA in the Paul G. Allen and David Packard buildings on Via Palou. It was a nice exhibit of 20 of my quilts along with
40 paintings by 2 other artists. The vast spaces and large white walls looked great with colorful art.

And you look great next to your quilts with your black and white stripes. Congratulations to you, Yvonne! I am so happy for you.

Just wanted to say I read about your exhibit in the Quilt Show newsletter and it coincided with my visit to Palo Alto this past weekend. Yay! It was so great to see your quilts up close and to spend time with them. It's a wonderful way to display quilts -- much better than a regular quilt show where I end up on overload and tired from the crowds. Wish I were still a student and could study in one of the areas where some of your quilts were hanging! The booklet with photos of your quilts is also great to have. It was an awesome exhibit -- I love your work!
